Version 2026-10-09

Nobl Tutor is a maths tutor for children in grades 4 to 10, run by Nobl Kids. A parent creates the account and each child’s profile. Children don’t have accounts, emails or passwords of their own. This page says what we collect, why, where it’s kept, and how you control it.

What we collect about your child

We don’t collect a child’s email, surname, school, or photos of them, and nothing they type beyond answers to maths steps.

What we collect about you

How we use it

We don’t sell data, show advertising, or run analytics or tracking tools in the app. No third-party scripts run on your child’s screens. We only email you to verify your address or reset your password.

Artificial intelligence

The maths in every lesson (the numbers, the steps and the drawings) comes from our own code, not from an AI model. An AI model never marks an answer and never decides what your child has learned.

In a button lesson, the wording of a hint may be adapted by an AI model (Google’s Gemini) to the answer your child just picked. The model is given the step and the child’s choice, never their name; a rewording that strays from our script is thrown away for the script.

In a spoken lesson, what your child says is sent to our voice provider to be understood and answered. Our voice provider is OpenAI. Our tutor is also built to run on Google’s Gemini or on ElevenLabs; if we change provider we will update this page and ask you to accept it. The provider receives your child’s speech and the lesson’s text, not their name or your account details. The tutor’s explanations are written by an AI model (Google’s Gemini) and checked against our own maths before they are spoken.

We keep a recording and a transcript of each spoken lesson for 90 days so that you can review it in the Parent area; you can delete either at any time. Before the first spoken lesson, the app asks a parent to agree to this section.

Where your data is kept

Your family’s data is stored on Google Cloud in the United States (Iowa, us-central1), and in a spoken lesson your child’s speech is processed by our voice provider in the United States. If you live in Canada, this means your information is transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, and may be accessible to authorities there under U.S. law.

We use these service providers, only for the purposes described:

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

The Parent area asks you to confirm it’s you (password, a code to your phone, or Google) before it shows progress or settings, and again before any download or deletion, so a child using the family device can’t get in.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest on Google Cloud. Access is limited to the people who run the service.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll ask you to read and accept the new version the next time you open the app.
